On departure from Rasht the cover was censored by the Russian forced and was opened and closed by a sealing strip and received a round dull violet measuing 35mm in diameter with Farsi inscription of 'Observed by the censor' also 'CENSURE' in French. The cover is genuine in all respects.

On departure from Rasht, the cover received a black, rectangular negative censor measuring 46.5mm x 15mm Reza forces military of Recht in Farsi reading "Recht censored by the military," due to the unrest and the activities by the Recht Communist Party after Mirza Kuchick Khan Jangali death. The cover is genuine in all respects.

23 February 1917 - Damaged cover from Kazeroun to Shiraz, franked with 6x1ch orange & green (perf. 11.5x11, tall) of 1911 Ahmad Shah Issue, paying domestic rate (one stamp is missing), cancelled with 'KAZEROUN 23.II.17' departure and 'CHIRAZ 28.II.17' arrival postmarks.
Upon it's arrival to Schiraz, the cover was opened and closed with sealing tape and received violet rectangular military censor in Farsi inscription of "Schiraz censored."
A section of back of the cover with one 1ch stamp has been cut-out and a section on the upper right corner of the front of the cover has been torn out. The cover is genuine on all respects.
